Tower blocks built in 60s in Glasgow

They are built in 60s, in a cluster of three tower blocks of 20-21 storeys, usually owned by Housing associations.
  • The three tower blocks on Edmiston Drive, Ibrox. Crime was a problem on the estate. People called them "junkie dens". They have being demolished since I moved to Glasgow in 2010. I used to pass these towers every time I went to Asda.
  • Between Govan and Ibrox at Glasgow south side, there are three tower blocks in Iona Court, off Broomloan Road. They are 20-storey tower blocks: 31 Iona Court, 45 Iona Court, and 59 Iona Court.
  • Glenavon Road has three 21 storey tower blocks between Gilsochill and Maryhill in north west Glasgow.
