Crab sticks and crab cakes

Crab sticks (also known as seafood sticks) actually have nothing to do with crab. They are made of white fish such as Pollock, egg white, pulverized into a thick paste before adding red colour.  I have no problem with the name 'seafood sticks', but they should not be called 'crab' sticks.

Crab cakes, on the other hand, usually contain at least 20% real crab meat, depending on the recipe. For example, Sainsbury's Taste the Difference crab cakes contain 25% crab meat.
